Erborian CC Red Correct is a green CC cream recommended to everyone with redness, so it naturally made it onto my list. In the end it landed among the flops, and for good reason.

What the brand says

  • Green pigments correct colour and reduce the visibility of redness, and the cream adapts to the skin tone as it's applied.
  • Centella asiatica (tiger grass) extract soothes the skin and supports firmness and elasticity.
  • SPF 25, a light and radiant finish.
  • For all skin types, non-comedogenic, tested under dermatological supervision.

My experience

Sadly, a disappointment. On the face it looked great: it covers beautifully and really neutralises redness, which is why I wanted it to work so badly.

But after taking it off I saw that my skin was redder, with more papules and pustules. The cream was covering exactly what it was making worse.

It's a chemical SPF: alongside zinc oxide and titanium dioxide it also contains chemical filters. My rosacea skin reacts to them, and this product is exactly what taught me to choose only mineral sunscreens.

Who is it for

For redness-prone skin that tolerates chemical filters well. If you have rosacea with papules and pustules, be careful and check how your skin looks after removing it, not just while the cream is on.

Yes, it covers and neutralises redness beautifully. The problem was that my skin was redder after I took it off.

Is Erborian CC Red Correct good for rosacea?

It wasn't for me. After removing it I had more redness, papules and pustules, probably because of the chemical filters in the SPF.

Not only mineral. Alongside zinc oxide and titanium dioxide it also contains chemical filters.
